Mayor Brenda Chisholm-Beaton says youth in the town are very excited.
A bike pump track is a circuit track that has a series of small hills that let the rider use their own momentum to “pump” around the track.
At the regular town council meeting last night Chisholm-Beaton said she has high hopes for the track.
“I think it’s going to be really interesting to see the final design and what the final result is going to look like,” she says. “I hope it will be very well used and hopefully lots of weeks before we get the cold weather.”
She said the pump track is a great fit for active transportation in the town of Port Hawkesbury.
She said the track could be open next week.
