The first round of the NHL playoffs will feature a native of the Quad Counties.
Matt MacPherson of Antigonish has been assigned to work as a linesman.
The league has 34 full-time linesmen during the regular season and twenty get picked to go to the first round.
MacPherson has previously worked 34 playoff games.
Last year he was on the lines for the Stanley Cup Final between Vegas and Washington.
