Two hockey players from the Quad Counties will represent our country on the international stage.
Judique’s Andrew MacDonald and Antigonish’s Alex Grant have been named to Team Canada’s blueline for the upcoming 2019 Spengler Cup; the well-known tournament opens Boxing Day, and wraps up New Year’s Eve.
MacDonald is currently playing with SC Bern in Switzerland; Grant is with Jokerit Helsinki in the KHL.
The Quad Counties have been well-represented at the Spengler Cup- Port Hawkesbury’s Aaron Johnson and Antigonish’s Craig Macdonald have competed in the tournament in the past.
