COVID-19 has impacted another major event in the region.
Organizers of the Celtic Colours International Festival, which debuted in 1997, say their 2020 event will not feature a series of live concerts across Cape Breton Island in October.
They say instead, they’ll live-stream nightly performances and stories from Cape Breton as part of Celtic Colours International Festival at Home.
Organizers say they made the decision with the safety of audience and staff members, artists and volunteers in mind.
They say they hope to build audience, and excite them for a return the following October.
