The province confirmed one new case of COVID-19 on Saturday.
That brings the total number of cases in Nova Scotia to 1,049.
Six individuals are currently in hospital, including three in the ICU.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre microbiology lab completed 561 tests on Friday and is operating 24-hours a day.
Nova Scotia has 37,671 negative test results and 969 individuals have now recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved.
In a press release, Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health says with nicer weather and looser restrictions, Nova Scotians have to continue practising good hygiene, limiting non-essential travel and staying home if you’re feeling unwell.
Strang says new case numbers are staying low and we continue to head in the right direction.
