Firefighters have returned to an Antigonish Co. forest fire.
It’s the fourth day of efforts to fight the fire that started on Old Mulgrave Rd. near Frankville mid-day Monday.
In their latest Twitter update at 10 a.m. Thursday, officials with the province’s Department of Lands and Forestry say the fire, which was 200 hectares in size at its peak, is down to 148 hectares and 100 per cent contained.
They say members of their ground crew will remain at the scene to check for hotspots.
Update — Thursday 10 a.m. — Fire is 100% contained. Size is 148 ha. Lands and Forestry on scene patrolling for hotspots.
