Richmond Co.’s new deputy warden says he thinks the whole council is united behind Warden Amanda Mombourquette.
Michael Diggdon was elected deputy warden at October’s regular council meeting Monday.
Afterward, Diggdon said it feels great to be working with the brand-new council.
“We have a lot of work to do, we don’t want to let the cat out of the bag,” he said. “Our team will bring our plan forward in the next couple of weeks.”
Diggdon said he thinks everyone in the room is on the same page.
He said he agrees with the warden that the group is ready to work together.
“We have an agenda that, I think, we’re all on the same page,” he said. “It definitely is going to involve a lot of teamwork, it’s going to involve a lot of community input, and a lot of development, and I think everybody will be impressed with the new direction.”
Diggdon said they are hoping to release their priorities soon.
