Judge MacKinnon
A judge in the Quad Counties has retired from the bench.
Provincial and Family Courts Judge Richard MacKinnon’s last official day was Feb. 26.
MacKinnon graduated from StFX with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973, and from Dalhousie with his law degree in 1976; he was a senior Crown counsel with the province’s Public Prosecution Service in Port Hawkesbury before he became a judge in Nov. 2009.
He presided in Bridgewater, Truro and most recently Antigonish, his last stop before retirement.
