The Islanders (12-10-3), who had their five-game winning streak snapped, are fourth in the eight-team league with 27 points, six points behind the Valley and Dartmouth, the two teams tied for second, and two points ahead of fifth-place Pictou Co.
Dartmouth won four of the five games in the season series between the teams.
