Police say they’re investigating a fire in New Glasgow as arson.
No one was hurt in the Sunday morning fire that caused extensive smoke and fire damage to a business-apartment complex at the corner of Provost St. and MacLean St.
A woman was safely evacuated from a bottom floor apartment.
New Glasgow Regional Police say their officers, paramedics and members of the New Glasgow, Stellarton and Trenton fire departments all responded.
They say several downtown streets were closed while they fought the fire.
Police say investigators have since determined the fire was intentionally set.
They say they want anyone with information to contact them.
