Some lobster fishers in the Quad Counties have had the start of their season delayed.
The first day for fishers in Antigonish Co. and much of Inverness Co.- areas 26A and 26B- to set their traps was Friday; however, that was postponed due to high winds.
They’re now scheduled to leave shore at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Some fishers in Richmond Co. and Guysborough Co.- area 31A- were able to set Thursday, and made their first haul Friday; the season is area 29, which covers other parts of Richmond Co. and Guysborough Co., and area 28, the remainder of Inverness Co. and Richmond Co., opened Friday.
Fishers in area 31B in Guysborough Co. have been on the water since the middle of April, but have had several dues due to weather.
