Nova Scotia is officially in an election period. It’s the 41st general election in the Province. Voting day is Tuesday August 17.
I encourage you to vote! The first step is to make sure that you are on the voters list.
Voter cards will be mailed out to everyone that is eligible but I understand that will not happen for another week or so.
To be eligible to vote in this election, you must:
- be a Canadian citizen
- be at least 18 years old on election day and
- have lived in Nova Scotia for at least six months
After a few weeks, if you don’t get a voter card in the mail you can register online, by phone, email or mail.
