The Progressive Conservative candidate in Annapolis is coming under fire for a threatening Facebook post about cyclists.
Jennifer Ehrenfeld-Poole took to Facebook in 2018 to vent her frustration about a group of cyclists who were on the road.
In the post that is now circulating on social media, she says she wishes she could get away with running them over.
Tory leader Tim Houston has confirmed Ehrenfeld-Poole told him about the post when she was being vetted by the party and that she will continue to run in the provincial election under the PC banner.
The riding was left vacant following the retirement of former Premier Stephen McNeil.
Houston says the candidate has sent an apology to Bicycle Nova Scotia, a non-profit group that promotes cycling in the province.
