The provincial New Democratic Party candidate in Richmond said he’s running to represent the under-represented.
Bryson Syliboy said the NDP is the party which will let him do that.
Syliboy tells The Hawk they stick up for everyone, not just a select few.
“I am trying to make sure that everybody is represented equally and that we all have a say in what happens in Richmond.”
Syliboy said there is another reason.
He said he wants to see more people from minority groups involved in decision-making.
“Representation matters,” he said. “There has never been a Mi’kmaq MLA in Nova Scotia.”
Two Mi’kmaq are candidates running in this provincial election.
