Public Health wants you to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Health officials are offering drop-in appointments this week for the Pfizer vaccine at all community clinics to make it easier for people to get their shots.
The Dartmouth General Drive-thru location will offer the Moderna vaccine starting on Wednesday.
Most of the large-scale community vaccine clinics will remain open until Friday.
After that date, they’ll close down with the the exception of three locations: the IWK Community Vaccine Clinic (open until Aug. 27), the Truro Community Vaccine Clinic (open until Aug. 14) and the Dartmouth General drive thru vaccine clinic (open until Aug. 21).
The St. FX Community clinic in Antigonish closes August 12.
Once the community clinics wrap up, vaccines will continue to be available at participating pharmacies.
Anyone who has an appointment booked after Friday will have to move it up or reschedule it at a pharmacy clinic. Any appointments that are not rescheduled will be canceled by the province.
The most recent stats show 67.1 per cent of all Nova Scotians have received two doses of vaccine and 76.7 per cent have received at least one dose.
Public Health says all eligible Nova Scotians who are not fully vaccinated need to act now in order for the province to achieve population immunity by the end of summer.
Health officials remind residents it takes two weeks for the vaccine to achieve its full effect.
