Greg Morrow is carrying the PC banner in the riding of Guysborough-Tracadie.
Morrow says while Healthcare is the top issue, especially ER closures, lack of cell coverage in his riding is on peoples minds.
He says there are a lot of dead zones.
“When I ran for the party nomination it was during that third wave lockdown when kids were doing home school and they were dealing with poor internet and poor cell phone coverage so it’s definitely on the mind of people around here.”
He added the PC’s will continue Develop Nova Scotia’s high speed internet plan and purchase Starlink for those not on the list.
Morrow says his campaign has been focused on getting to as many doorsteps as possible in the riding. He’s been discussing Tim Houston’s platform and what it will cost to fix issues in the healthcare system.
“He’s been honest with people as I’ve been honest on the doorsteps, it’s not going to be cheap,” says Morrow. “It’s going to cost money but Nova Scotians are worth it. We’re going to put time and money into it and its not going to be fixed overnight but we are going to take the time and take a real shot at it.”
He says if he wins he’ll get back to people when they reach out with concerns, even if he can’t help them.
Morrow works as a broadcast journalist with Acadia Broadcasting, the parent company of this radio station.
The other candidates for Guysborough-Tracadie are Liberal candidate Lloyd Hines, NDP candidate Matt Stickland and Green Party candidate Gabriel Bruce.
