Both Nova Scotia teams continued to struggle yesterday at the Home Hardware Curling Pre-trials in Liverpool.
Jill Brothers dropped her third straight contest 4-11 to PEI’s Suzanne Brit.
The Liverpool native must win her final three matches to have any shot at grabbing a playoff spot.
The quest continues this morning when the Brothers’ rink takes on Danielle Inglis of Mississauga, Ontario.
Thunder Bay’s Krista McCarville leads the way with a perfect 4-0 record.
On the men’s side Paul Flemming’s Halifax crew fell 8-3 to Winnipeg’s Braden Calvert to drop their record to 1-2.
The Flemming foursome faces Sean Grassie of Winnipeg this morning.
Former World Junior Champion Tyler Tardi of Langley, BC, along with Winnipeg’s Jason Gunnlaugson and Tanner Horgan of Kingston, Ontario lead the way with 4-0 records.
There are four more draws today starting at 8a.m.
Action continues at Queens Place Emera Centre through Sunday with the top two men’s and woman’s teams advancing to Saskatoon next month with a shot at representing Canada at the Winter Olympics.
