Atlantic University Sport has announced that they will resume the regular season as of February 18th.
Director of Athletics and Recreation at Saint FX, Leo MacPherson, says they are thrilled to be back, especially for the student athletes.
“We weathered the storm of uncertainty as to when we will be able to resume, luckily we can still salvage the season so we’re delighted about that. Sport is such an important part of these student athletes lives, it’s a big part of their identity.” He said.
According to MacPherson, more information about fans and scheduling will be released Monday.
“We in fact have a meeting later today to discuss how we’re going to operate and then communicate to our season ticket holders and the community at large on Monday as to how we’re going to operate moving forward but it’ll be so great to get some fans back.” He said.
AUS says this year, all participating teams will be granted playoff berths and that further information on modified playoff formats will be announced at a later date.
