The 126th Boston Marathon was held today after being cancelled since 2020. The route covers 26.2 miles (42.1 kms) Which is about the equivalent of driving from Port Hawkesbury to Heatherton on the 104.
A handful of Nova Scotians made their way to Boston to participate. Click here to search for a runner to see their results.
From Nova Scotia, runners included Jarvis Googoo from We’koqma’q First Nation, Lindsey MacNeil from Arichat, Leurette Labobe from Membertou, father and daughter team John and Kara MacKinnon of Sydney and Halifax (you’ll note their time was the same, they must have crossed the finish line together!), Denise Robson from Chester, Jamie (James) Fitzgerald from Glace Bay, Sheila Grover from Canning, Kate MacInnes from Scotsville, Steve Doucette of Halifax, Jamie Flynn from Halifax, Jason Bond of Long Point, Kim Ramsey from Bedford, Beth Horne of Antigonish and Linda MacDonald of Bedford.
