The votes are in and it’s coming to Cape Breton.
Sydney and the Canada Games Complex have been named Kraft Hockeyville 2022.
”I could not be more proud and excited of our gals and our community!!!!!!!!! You have all played a part in making history tonight. The first home ice dedicated to girls hockey. I am so, so, so proud!!!!,” said CBRM Mayor Amanda MacDougall shortly after the announcement.
It means the community gets to host a pre-season NHL game and $250,000 in arena upgrades.
