It’s important to make sure you keep your feeders clean. If you don’t, mold can grow and cause the hummingbirds to get sick or die.
Once it starts getting really hot, the feeder should be emptied and cleaned twice/week. Right now, when it’s a bit cooler, once/week will be enough. Cleaning with hot water works fine, or you can use a weak vinegar mixture.
