More Projects have been approved by the trustees of the of Forestry Innovation Transition Trust.
The Christmas Tree Council of Nova Scotia will receive 1.1 million dollars to support a tree improvement program.
The MTC Mass Timber Company is getting $325.000 for feasibility testing for the commercial production of mass timber in the province.
The Verschuern Centre for Sustainability in Energy and the Environment will get $698.500 for phase two of its biotechnology Acceleration Centre.
Research Nova Scotia will get $4.1 million dollars to support the implementation of the 2021 research agenda bringing focus to forestry research.
To date the trust has committed 25 million dollars in funding, of the 50 million dollar fund.
The funding can be used by companies, organizations and post secondary schools working and researching in the forestry and biological resource sectors.
