Young Nova Scotians are combining learning and fun this summer in a variety of summer camps.
One camp is the Summer Literacy Camp that provides an opportunity for students entering primary and grade 1 to enjoy a summer camp environment while learning about literacy.
The program will run from now until August 19th in 23 locations in the province.
Another camp, The Africentric Summer Scholar program fosters growth and engagement for African Nova Scotia students.
The program runs until August 5th in five different Nova Scotia communities.
A new program called Wskitqamu, provides an opportunity for students to learn about Mi’kmaw teachings. Campers learn from elders and knowledge holders through interactions through the land while building English and Mi’kmaw skills.
