Nova Scotia held an accession ceremony for King Charles the Third on Saturday.
Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc officially proclaimed His Majesty as sovereign.
Premier Tim Houston, members of the Executive Council and Chief Justice, armed forces, RCMP and Indigenous leaders were on hand for the ceremony at Province House.
The tradition dates back to King George III in 1760.
Flags were at full-mast for the day Saturday, but returned to half-mast Sunday to recognize Queen Elizabeth the Second’s death.
