Health and Wellness Minister Michelle Thompson, Deputy Minister Jeannine Lagasse, and Nova Scotia Health CEO Karen Oldfield will hold community conversations with Nova Scotians about the work underway to improve healthcare in their area and across the province.
Thompson says healthcare is the most pressing concern among Nova Scotians. “We’ve been doing a lot of work to address those concerns and improve care for Nova Scotians, we want to have dialogue about our health care system, our progress in improving it and the need to do things differently if we want better results. It will take time, but we are focused on improving our healthcare system so its reliable, responsive and ready when Nova Scotians need it.”
Thompson, Lagasse, and Oldfield are expected to stop in Antigonish on October 24th and Port Hawkesbury on December 2nd. Details on times and locations for these sessions are available at: Community Health Care Conversations
