A missing person case from Cape Breton has been added to the Province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program.
Michael Gerald Steele was last seen March 13, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney where he was visiting his mother.
“We hope that by adding Mr. Steele to the rewards program, we will receive new information that could help solve this case,” said Brad Johns, Attorney General and Minister of Justice. “Investigators are asking for the public’s help on behalf of the family. I urge anyone with information to please come forward.”
He was 39-years-old at the time and is described as white, 5’8, 155lbs with short brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who shares information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Mr. Steele’s disappearance could receive up to $150,000 through the Province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program. People with information can call the program line at 1-888-710-9090.
Anyone with information on this case who prefers to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers of Nova Scotia at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
