Kenley Matheson’s disappearance remains a mystery.
RCMP say no human remains were found on an area of Melanson Mountain after a search last week.
A cadaver dog indicated the area of interest after the Globe and Mail commissioned their own search in May.
Matheson was an Acadia University student, and went missing in Wolfville in 1992.
Corporal Chris Marshall says several departments helped with the search.
“We’re talking about a heavily wooded area on a steep embankment. There were certainly challenges around being able to carry out this search safely, but thankfully that was something we were able to do. The team of searchers weren’t able to find any evidence or information that human remains were deposited at the site,” said Cpl. Marshall.
The documentary ‘Missing Kenley’ aired on Amazon Prime last year.
Cpl. Chris Marshall says they were hopeful the documentary will open new leads in the investigation.
“Unfortunately, no new information was received after the documentary. We’re still asking anyone with information, no matter how small of insignificant it may be to come forward. It could open up new doors for our investigators to pursue.”
He thanks Matheson’s family for their continued support of the investigation.
