Bruce Guthro passed away peacefully at his home in Cape Breton on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was 62.
The impact that Bruce had on those that knew him and his fans will live on for many years to come. Not only was Bruce a talented musician but he was also storyteller. Those stories were told through his songs and during his shows. It was not unusual for audience members to laugh during one song or story and be in tears during the next.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Centre 200 in Sydney at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023. All are welcome to attend. The full obituary can be found here.
Funeral service, under the direction of Father Doug MacDonald, will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish, 34 Archibald Ave., North Sydney at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
Due to limited capacity, this mass will be open to family and friends.
Both the funeral service and Celebration of Life will be live-streamed.
