The province will invest in more cell service.
They’ve announced over 47-million dollars to help expand coverage.
Public Works Minister Kim Masland says reliable cell service is essential for all Nova Scotians, and the current situation needs to be addressed.
Build Nova Scotia will lead the work, which includes improving and creating infrastructure.
Masland says they are the first government in 30 years to address the issue.
Over 21,000 civic addresses in Nova Scotia don’t have cell service.
New trunked mobile radio towers will also be built for first responders in Inverness, Richmond and Queens counties.
