Funeral arrangements have been announced for the chairman of J.D. Irving, Limited.
James K. Irving passed away on Friday at the age of 96, the company announced in a statement.
Irving spent 76 years working at the company founded by his grandfather, James Dergavel Irving, in 1882.
He was also a founding partner of PALS, an initiative developed in Saint John to help schools address their students’ needs.
Visitation will take place in Netherwood Chapel (7 Maiden Lane, Rothesay) on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kingswood University’s Saunders Irving Chapel (20 Wesley Drive, Sussex).
That will be followed by a private burial with family in Bouctouche, where Irving will be laid to rest with his wife and parents.
