Here is the trailer for the second half of Yellowstone season 5 AND! rumor is this might NOT actually be the final season.
That said, Kevin Costner is not going back. It will be interesting to see how they get rid of his character without him participating.
This will premier on November 10.
There are reports that season 6 could happen and it would revolve around Beth and Rip. That sounds plausible since that was another spin off that was in the works.
Speaking of spins offs, there are so many it’s hard to keep track.
1883 was my favorite (I liked it more than Yellowstone) and starred Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. That story ended as far as I know.
1923 was also really good and starred Harrison Ford & Helen Mirren. This spin off will return for a 2nd season.
There are some new shows and new spin offs from creator Taylor Sheridan coming with even more big names signing on:
- The Madison will star Michelle Pfeiffer. This one was originally going to be called 2024. The premise is that a family from New York moves to the Madison River valley of central Montana. It will also star Matthew Fox (from Lost) and Patrick J. Adams (Suits) I’m unclear if this will be inside the Yellowstone universe. No release date.
- The Landman (nothing to do with Yellowstone) will star Demi Moore, Jon Hamm and Billy Bob Thornton. Premiers November 17 and is based on the podcast called Boomtown.
- 6666 is in the Yellowstone universe (loosely) and has been featured on the show. It will be set in Texas and revolve around the Four Sixes Ranch. Release date is unknown.
- 1944 will be yet another Yellowstone spinoff. This one will star Matthew McConaughey (hey hey hey) Release date is unknown.
