A panel of judges will take some time before deciding whether to grant a new trial for a man serving a life sentence in the death of a 26-year-old Yarmouth man.
Robert Rogers had his case heard Tuesday in the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal.
His appeal is based on assertions a Supreme Court judge made errors during instructions to the jury about the testimony of a key Crown witness.
Rogers is now in his early 60’s and was sentenced to life in prison with no parole eligibility for 19 years in 2023.
Colton Cook was shot and stabbed at a home in South Ohio in 2020.
Two other men are serving sentences in connection to his murder.
The judges will deliver a written decision at a later date.
