Environment Canada is forecasting more snow on Christmas Eve for central, western and northern Nova Scotia.
According to a special weather statement, it will start snowing early Tuesday morning and end early Wednesday morning.
Five to 10 cm is expected by 6 p.m. Tuesday over Annapolis, Digby and Yarmouth counties with additional snowfall after 6 p.m.
The forecaster says, ” There is unusual uncertainty in the amount of snowfall expected with this system. However, it is likely that snowfall warnings will be issued later today for parts of the province since total accumulations are expected to exceed 15 cm in some areas.”
Meanwhile, there are snow squall warnings until Monday afternoon for Inverness and Victoria counties in Cape Breton which may suddenly cause reduced visibility.
Special weather statements are also in effect for Southern New Brunswick for Tuesday.
It comes as people dig out after a storm blanketed many parts of the Maritimes Friday and Saturday. Coming on the last weekend before Christmas, the nor’easter disrupted travel for many.
