Loads of live tunes will ring out in Guysborough County as a beloved summertime tradition continues.
More than 50 artists are slated to perform as part of the Stan Rogers Folk Festival this year.
The annual musical tribute to the legendary folk musician and songwriter, Stan Rogers, has grown from a popular weekend camping event to a seven-day extravaganza.
Kicking off the celebration July 21st, the Stanfest Road Show will present nine concerts over three days in seven communities.
Buddy MacDonald, Catherine MacLellan, Dave Gunning, Slowcoaster and Valdy are just a few scheduled to perform at Road Show venues.
The Stanfields, Sloan, Adam Baldwin, Samson, Jah’ Mila, JP Cormier, Morgan Toney, Rose Morrison and Razzmatazz for Kids are among the many acts lined up for the 28th edition of the main festival from July 24th-27th.
New this year, two of the daytime stages are moving to the Canso Firehall and St. Paul’s United Church to keep everyone out of the elements. A shuttle service will be available.
Tickets, advance weekend passes and campsites are on sale now.
