The Macdonald Bridge will be closed this weekend as work to strip 70 years of paint off the two towers begins.
Project LifeSpan will take two years and involve dozens of workers 90 meters above the ocean.
Halifax Harbour Bridges says the harbour span will be closed to all traffic from Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m., to Monday, April 27 at 5:30 a.m.
This including vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
Bus tickets will be available at the Dartmouth side at the Macdonald Bridge Operations Centre and at Traffic Control on the Halifax side.
HHB asks you to plan an alternate route.
