A man is dead following a motor vehicle collision in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Halifax District RCMP, along with fire and EHS, responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 7 at the Bedford Bypass/Dartmouth Road split at around 7:30 p.m. on June 23. There they discovered the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 36-year-old Hillsvale man. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers say that the vehicle was travelling outbound and lost control while passing another vehicle and rolled into the ditch.
Highway 7 was closed for several hours while officers investigated. It has since reopened.
