The Nova Scotia Men’s 19U Softball Team just punched their ticket to the championship game of the 2023 North American Indigenous Games. They beat Saskatchewan 10-8 in a thrilling back and forth contest.
Fans were out in full force to support the home team, but there wasn’t much to cheer for early on as Nova Scotia found themselves down to start the game.
19-year-old Nova Scotia pitcher Brody Knockwood described what he told his teammates to get them to rally back.
“I had to really get mad at the boys and let them know we had to win this game if we wanted to keep going. And the boys listened up and they came up with the win,” said Knockwood.
Nova scotia will look to capture a gold medal on home soil tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Halifax commons when they take on the British Columbian team.
