A problem with the driver’s side airbag is forcing GM to recall certain vehicles sold a decade ago.
GM says the airbag could rupture and fail to inflate in a crash.
It could also cause fragments of the airbag to strike the driver and other occupants.
Vehicles that were not built with an airbag inflator from the suspect lot are not part of this recall.
Certain Chevrolet Sonic, Trax, Volt, and Camero models, and Buick Verano, all sold in 2013, are impacted.
GM is telling owners to take their vehicles to a dealership to replace the faulty part.
About 900 vehicles sold in Canada and the United States are affected by the recall.
Transport Canada says 100 are still on the road in Canada.
