Mackenzie Joseph “Duane” Marshall

We regret to announce the death of Mackenzie Joseph “Duane” Marshall of Waycobah First Nation which occurred on March 18th at home.

The late Mackenzie Joseph “Duane” Marshall will rest after 4 p.m. on Saturday in his mothers residence 73 Golins Rd. Waycobah First Nation.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 31st from Blessed Kateri Parish, Waycobah, with Father Joby Augustin and Deacon Berkley Guthro officiating.

Burial in the parish cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh.

Norman John Isaac

We regret to announce the death of Norman John Isaac of Potlotek which occurred March 20th at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney.

Visitation will be held at the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Chapel in Potlotek on Saturday from 7pm till Monday March 31st at 1:30 from where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm with Rev. Duncan MacIsaac officiating.

Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Barra Head.

A Salite will be held at the Potlotek Community Centre following the burial. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.

Olafur Egilsson & Carola (Boudreau) Egilsson

We regret to announce the death of Olafur Egilsson that passed away on October 18th, 2022 and his wife Carola (Boudreau) Egilsson that passed away on November 24, 2024.

Funeral mass will be held on April 2nd in St. Joseph’s Church, Petit de Grat at 11am with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating.

Burial to follow in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat.

A reception will follow the burial at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, Petit de Grat.
