Henry Island, located just off the coast of Route 19 between Port Hood and Harbourview, has hit the market.
The asking price for the 200 acre island is $6,990,000. This is the first (public) listing event for the property.
It has a working 100 year old 53 foot high lighthouse and lighthouse keeper’s home that was built in 1902. The origin of the islands name is unclear. Some say it was named after Henry Hood who was the son of Admiral Samuel Hood, with the Royal Navy of North America in the late 18th century & others think it may have been named for Prince William Henry who was the uncle of Queen Victoria.
