Cape Breton Regional Police have now charged a third person connected to a murder investigation and the disappearance of Justin MacDonald.
In an update on Tuesday, CBRM police say Aaron Curtis Mickey is charged with second degree murder, robbery and gun related offences.
The 45-year-old was arrested near Sydney.
MacDonald was last seen on July 7 at approximately 11 p.m. at the Irving gas station located in North Sydney
Police later located his vehicle approximately 25 km away.
Officers have been actively investigating his disappearance and are following up on several leads, including multiple searches.
Two others charged
Ryan Joseph Pike is also charged with second-degree murder and robbery. The 36-year-old is from North Sydney.
Meantime, 38-year-old Mitchell George McPhee is charged him with manslaughter, robbery and assault in relation to his death.
He has a bail hearing set for January 15.
The investigation is ongoing.
