The lives of three children killed after a tragic house fire in Lower Sackville will be celebrated Tuesday afternoon.
A funeral for Chloe, Cayson and Alauna will take place inside the communities Rock Church and will also be available to a greater audience via live stream.
It signals the outpouring of support for the families grieving this unimaginable loss, as donations have come in from near and far to try and help.
“Chloe (6) loved the outdoors, swimming and fishing. She practiced Taekwondo and was a Beaver. She loved all animals, colouring, puzzles, dancing, riding her bike and playing with her baby dolls and Barbies,” stated Chloe’s obituary.
“Alauna (9) was in grade 4 at Cavalier Drive Elementary. Alauna was an old soul who cared deeply for everyone, especially her siblings, who she cherished. She was an avid singer and loved dancing competitively with her dance team at Motion Dance Center.” her obituary read.
Meantime, Cayson (5) loved superheroes and his life was sadly cut short just a few days shy of his sixth birthday.
“Cayson was excited when he started primary this year at Cavalier Drive Elementary. He was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. He loved tormenting his sisters and loving on them just the same.”
A live stream of the service will be available at 1 p.m. for those unable to attend in person.
In an interview with our newsroom after the fire, close family friend Alyssa Porter, tells us the support from the community has been incredible.
“The family did not have insurance on the home, so they’ve lost everything including their pets. We are rallying as much as we possibly can.” said Porter.
More than $140,000 has been raised in a GoFundMe for the families.
