Spring migration for hummingbirds has begun and they are headed for Nova Scotia – none have been reported yet this year, they were in the Province by this time last year. So far this year, it looks like they’ve made it to Maine.

If you feed hummingbirds, don’t bother with the store bought food, it isn’t needed and contains dyes.
Clean your feeder and add a sugar and water mixture. 1 part sugar/4 parts water is great! Some people boil the mixture but I’ve found that isn’t required. Just make sure you clean your feeders on a regular basis!
