A player from the Cape Breton West Islanders was drafted by a local Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team.
Liam Trenholm was selected by the Cape Breton Eagles in round 12 of the draft on Saturday.
The defenceman played 39 games in his rookie season with the Islanders.
Trenholm buried seven goals and had 10 assists.
He was the only Cape Breton West player drafted to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this year.
