Joe Biden is confirmed as President-Elect of the Unites States.
The Electoral College got together Monday and re-affirmed the 306-232 margin of victory for Biden and Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris.
Biden, in an address, says his victory is similar to the one President Donald Trump had in 2016, which should signal to the current president to finally accept the defeat.
“The flame of democracy was lit in this nation a long time ago,” stresses Biden. “And we now know that nothing – not even a pandemic or an abuse of power – can extinguish that flame.”
The Biden-Harris ticket also won the popular vote by over seven million ballots.
