Nova Scotia’s Sydney Pickrem is taking home an Olympic bronze medal.
The Halifax native was part of the 4×100 team.
The thrilling race in the pool was her last chance to bring home a medal.
Pickrem may have had the quote of the Olympics in a live interview following the race.
“I was absolutely [expletive] myself, I’m not going to try and sugarcoat it,” Pickrem said jokingly as she looked back on the closing moments of the race.
Other members of the team include Kylie Masse, Maggie Mac Neil and Penny Oleksiak.
It’s Canada’s 13 medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
