X-Women Track runner Siona Chisholm was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week.
Siona, a 1st year Human Kinetics student from Antigonish, competed in three events at the U SPORTS national championship this past weekend in Saint John.
She placed 6th overall in the 3000m event.
She came 9th overall in the 1500m race and ran the third leg of the X-Women 4x800m relay team that placed 12th.
Siona had a fantastic first year this season earning both the AUS female track athlete of the year award and AUS female rookie of the year honours.
STFX Male Athlete of the Week goes to X-Men Hockey defenseman Santino Centorame.
Santino, a fifth year Business student from Mississauga, was named a tournament all-star as the captain of the X-Men team helped lead them to a U SPORTS bronze medal this past weekend.
He scored a goal and had an assist in three games as the X-Men defeated Brock in the quarterfinals, lost to Alberta in the semifinal, then re-grouped to beat Ryerson 3-2 in overtime in the bronze medal game.
