The Snowbirds will not fly over our skies this summer.
The team has cancelled their performance in Air Show Atlantic in Nova Scotia later this month.
Air Show Atlantic says organizers are disappointed in a Tweet but safety needs to be the top priority.
“While we allow ourselves to take a deep breath and accept this news, we are already working towards bringing several new performers to Air Show Atlantic!,” the Tweet says.
We are disappointed for our fans who were very excited to see the Canadian Forces Snowbirds back in Atlantic Canada this summer.
We appreciate and support the decision made by the Royal Canadian Air Force to prioritize the safety of its pilots above all else. 1/3 https://t.co/lZHJgsG0zs pic.twitter.com/UQm2jfEsU9

The Royal Canadian Airforce has put an “operational pause” into effect after one of the jets crashed at a B.C. airport last week.
The pilot was not hurt but the plane was damaged in the hard landing.
The jets will not fly again until an airworthiness risk assessment is completed.
Air Show Atlantic will post new performer announcements in the coming days.
